Concrete Structures

Inspectors verify forms are set properly for line and grade and to ensure the correct concrete mixture will be used and proper handling and workmanship of concrete deposited in forms is done satisfactorily. Concrete structures include curb & gutter, cross gutter, sidewalk, junction structures, flood control facilities, traffic signal foundations, and other concrete structures as required.

Inspectors verify the final field product is in conformance with approved plans, project specifications, and County of Orange Standard Plans. The Inspector also verifies subgrade has been prepared to proper line and grade, compacted to specified requirements, and certify that all underground utilities have been installed in accordance with project plans.

Drainage Facilities

Inspectors verify construction methods, location, elevation, and materials used in construction of drainage facilities conform to the approved plans, project specifications and County of Orange Standard Plans.

Tract Completion

Inspectors verify all required improvements are completed or installed prior to acceptance by the Board of Supervisors and are constructed in conformance with approved plans, project specifications, and County of Orange Standard Plans. Improvements include but are not limited to; street improvements, street lights, sewer lines, water lines, landscaping, street name signs and street signage and striping.
