permit conditions, special provisions, County of Orange Standard Plans, and safety
standards. These types of construction activities include channel reconstruction
or modifications, new storm drain entries, underground utility installations, bridge
construction, and temporary encroachments.
Arterial Highways & Local Streets
Inspectors verify construction within Orange County arterial highways and local
streets conforms to approved plans, permit conditions, special provisions, County
of Orange Standard Plans, and safety standards. These types of construction activities
include roadway reconstruction/modifications, new curb & gutter, sidewalk, drive
approaches, bridge construction, underground utility installations, traffic signal
installation/modification, and temporary encroachments.
Utilities
Inspectors verify construction of utility improvements within Orange County roadways,
flood control facilities, HBP Facilities, and County owned property conforms to
approved plans, permit conditions, special provisions, County of Orange Standard
Plans, and safety standards. Permits are issued to individuals, utility companies,
and public agencies. These types of construction activities include electrical,
telephone, cable, water and sewer line utility installations.
HBP Facilities
Inspectors verify that construction within Harbors, Beaches, & Parks (HBP) Facilities
conforms to approved plans, permit conditions, special provisions, County of Orange
Standard Plans, and safety standards. These types of construction activities include
construction of new parks, park enhancements, trail improvements, drainage structures,
and installation of utilities.
